GiST for PGSQL: Contributors

• The Generalized Search Tree was originally described in a paper by Hellerstein, Naughton and Pfeffer which appeared in the Proceedings of the VLDB '95 conference.
• The postgres GiST access method was developed by Joe Hellerstein.
